About Us

About Gamma Tau

Our Gamma Tau chapter at RPI has been arround since 1935, with Pi Kappa Alpha being established nationally in 1868. The Pi Kappa Alpha chapter here has been one of enormous success and has received many awards nationally. Awards ranging from 100 man chapters, to Smythe awards, given only to the top 10% achieving chapters in the world. We achieve this success by nurturing our members into men who study and train more than any other group of men on campus. We do not believe in doing this through embarassment, pain, or any other non-consensual act. This is achieved through education that the entire brotherhood experiences, throughout their entire time at rpi, from freshman all the way through graduate students. We are also involved in many philanthropy and community service related events, from Troy School 2, where the brothers volunteer on a weekly basis to help with after school activities, through raising money for the Fallen Firefighter's Foundation with Pie a Pike. If you would like to learn more about what we can offer you, or what we offer the community, please reach out to one of the contacts in our "Leaders" section of this page.
